How it works: Hot topics are ranked by total publications in the selected window. Emerging topics are ranked by growth rate, comparing the selected window against the preceding period of equal length. Topics with fewer than 30 recent publications are excluded from the emerging analysis. Data from OpenAlex.

The user can select a field of research and a time range, and the dashboard shows new or previously underresearched (emerging) topics, and topics that attract a lot of attention recently (e.g., citations, increase of publication volume).
